Welcome to AGLO
We are a crowdsourced shipping company that utilizes the extra space in a traveler's luggage to deliver items around the world.
How It Works
Step 1
A recipient from outside the USA fills out our item delivery request form
Step 2
We match the recipient with a traveler departing from the USA and heading to the recipient's location
Step 3
The requested items are sent to the traveler 72 hours before their departure, they pack the items in their bag, and fly away
Step 4
We coordinate a convenient meeting location and time for the delivery of the items
Step 5
Both parties meet at the meeting location, the recipient gets their items, and the traveler gets paid!

Who We Are
Having friends and family from around the world, we at Aglo know firsthand what it’s like to want to send your affection from afar, only to be limited by the price. We want to change this narrative and make affordable shipping available to everyone who needs it. If you like to travel, send or receive packages, or think what we're building is cool, we want you along for the ride.

After returning from a missions trip in Namibia, a fellow web developer in Namibia asked Mario if he could ship them an HDMI cord. Mario obliged, but upon seeing that it would take months to arrive in Namibia and that the price of shipping costed more than the cord itself, Mario was baffled.
Frustrated by the problem of high shipping prices, Mario thought to himself, “There has to be a better way.” He then realized that if he could partner with airlines to leverage the extra space in a commercial plane, it would be substantially cheaper and faster. He then told Tayo about this idea, they refined it to work with every day travelers instead of airlines, and Aglo was born.
Mario Lopez holds a degree in Computer Science from Azusa Pacific University and is a software engineer at PayPal.

After meeting with the APU professor leading the missions team going to Namibia, he knew he needed to join them and be a part of their work. The job of the missions team was to partner with Namibian software engineers in digitizing Namibia's health record-keeping systems. As a software engineer, Tayo knew he could help.
While in Namibia, Tayo formed a friendship with Mario Lopez, the lead engineer for the project at the time. A few months after the trip, Mario told Tayo about his idea, they got to work, and Aglo was formed!
Tayo Agbalaya holds a degree in Applied Mathematics and a minor in Computer Science from Azusa Pacific University. He previously worked at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a systems engineer and currently works as a Technical Product Owner at Chick-fil-A corporate.
